Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp salt, garlic powder, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp thyme
3 carrots, chopped
3 Tbs tomato paste
2 cups water
3 Tb flour
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup frozen peas
3 medium potatoes
1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup milk
2 Tbs butter
1/4 cup parmesan or cheddar
Instructions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees

Instructions:
Heat oven to 375 degrees
In skillet, cook beef with onion, carrot and seasonings until beef is brown. Add carrots, water and tomato paste and cook 10-15 minutes or until carrots are tender. Add flour and stir, cook 5 minutes more. Add peas and mushrooms.
Cut potatoes into quarters and cover with water in a pot on stovetop, bring to boil and cook 10 minutes. Drain water and mash with milk, butter, salt and pepper.
Spread meat mixture in 8 x 8 casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle cheese over the top. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown.
