Classic pot roast

Ingredients:

Chuck Roast

2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

2 tsp garlic powder

3 Tbs butter

3 Tbs flour



Instructions:

Rub meat all over with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. 

Place in Instant pot, crock pot or dutch oven. Add water until meat is covered. Set instant pot to 45 minutes, crock pot to 8 hours, or cook in 350 degree oven for 3 hours.

After cooking, remove meat from pot and shred with two forks. 

Pour 1 cup of remaining liquid into measuring cup, discard the rest. 

In a saucepan, melt 3 Tbs butter. Add 3 Tbs flour and stir, then quickly add beef cooking liquid. Whisk together to make a thick, smooth gravy.
